Please Pray Update

** Christopher got to come home today. Please pray for complete healing, peace, and rest for him. Tyler was able to sit up in bed today. A blood test came back showing his liver was working properly. Praise the Lord. Pray for his other organs to begin working. I know it was said his family needs rest. Going back and forth between home and hospital is tiring.

Saturday, some friend's of ours son and his friend were involved in an ATV accident. The friend was careflighted to Wichita and Christopher was taken by ambulance to Denton. He suffered a severe broken leg requring surgery yesterday. Tyler, the friend, was taken immediately into surgery where he suffered a lacerated liver, his pancreas was torn into and a tube that goes from the stomach to the large intestine was broken. Bascially, all his organs (stomach, liver, pancreas, etc.) had to be repaired or re-attached. He is still in a lot of pain and won't be able to eat for a week. His family is hoping they will move him in a week to ten days to a nearby hospital closer to their home. He will then need to go to a rehab hospital after that. He is in for a long road. Christopher might get to come home today or tomorrow. He still has an open wound that will need tending in a few days in which his family will have to take him back to the hospital for them to clean it. He might need furthur surgery after his leg heals. The doctor said expect 8-12 weeks recovery.

If you fully trust in God's sovereignty, then you have to know that this was all in His plan, even down to the details. None of Tyler's ribs were broken although all his major organs that were damaged were tucked up underneath his ribcage. Who knows how much furthur damage could have been done had they been broken. Christopher even had his cell phone on him and was able to call. Had he not, they might have laid there a long time before someone happended upon them. God was at work even in the midst of tragedy.

I will keep you updated when I have more details. Both of these families are sweet homeschooling familes. Thanks for praying.
